WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF THE LOVE MARKETS!
Inspired by the artists of 1920s Weimar Berlin,
Here, you'll find Angie Louise's captivating vocals and storytelling basking in the sultry sounds of Robertson Witmer's evocative accordion, David Marriott Jr.'s shape-shifting trombone, Dave Pascal's dexterously juicy bass, drummer Chris Monroe's sinuous rhythms, and Louise's own adventurous keys.
In 2013, The Love Markets released WORLD OF YOUR DREAMS, drawing praise for a debut album that managed to include both an elegy for the dead and a risqué ode to wiener schnitzel. The band's second release, BEAUTY FACTORY, investigates the machinery of modern life, armed with rollicking grooves and a seductively sinister opening lyric: "Step up, miss! Here in the factory, the gates are always open... Don’t resist! To be made whole again, you’ll first need to be broken...”

Berlin, 1929: Churning factories, glittering clubs. Decadence, cynically marketed; moral outrage, expertly manipulated. Fractured politics. Financial panic.
